It doesn’t matter if the pick-up location and return location are separate. You can also pick it up at your hotel, so you can connect to WiFi before heading out.

Easy operation and reliable support system that allows you to use it just by turning on the power

The WiFi router is ready to use immediately after powering it on. It features a touch panel, making operation intuitive and easy. The NINJA WiFi call center is open every day from 10:00 to 19:00 (JST), so if you have any questions, they will be happy to assist you.

NINJA WiFi FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions about NINJA WiFi. Please check them out before purchasing.

Is there a limit to the amount of data that can be used per day on an unlimited device?

Yes. There is a daily data limit. Data limits vary by manufacturer.SoftBank 4G does not have a specific limit, but docomo 5G may limit your speed only if excessive data usage of 10GB or more per day or 300GB or more per month is detected.

Watching 4K videos or playing high-definition games uses a lot of data, so be careful if you plan to transfer a lot of data at once.

How many devices can I share?

You can connect up to five devices to one WiFi router. However, connecting five devices at the same time may cause unstable communication, so we recommend using two or three devices. If you plan to connect four or more devices, you should rent a second WiFi router.

What are the procedures and fees if I want to extend my stay?

You can extend the rental period by contacting the customer center. Please note that if you extend the rental period without contacting the customer center, you will be charged an extension fee of 1,617 yen per day x the number of days exceeded.

*If the fee for a completely unlimited plan, etc. exceeds 1,617 yen/day, regardless of whether you contact us to extend the plan, we will pay the communication fee you have subscribed to multiplied by the number of days exceeded and the amount of any options (such as the peace of mind insurance pack) multiplied by the number of days exceeded.

What if I go home and forget to return it?

If you are returning the product from overseas, please fill out the return shipping slip as follows. If you have any concerns, please call the call center (+81-50-8882-5774).

Introducing the dangers of free WiFi in Japan

When using free WiFi in Japan, be aware of the following risks.

Most free WiFi spots have unencrypted, open connections, so your communications may be eavesdropped on.

Malicious third parties may set up access points disguised as “Free WiFi,” which can be difficult even for Japanese people to spot. Spoofed access points can lead to the theft of your personal information.

If you enter your bank or credit card information, it may be intercepted.

Rest assured with year-round support! NINJA WiFi is the best choice for sightseeing in Japan

There are still very few free WiFi spots in Japan, so we recommend renting a pocket WiFi device and carrying it around with you. With a completely unlimited plan, you can search for delicious restaurants and beautiful tourist spots without worrying about data usage. Softbank’s reasonable prices are attractive, but docomo offers the best connection in Japan.
